My career in television was brief: a childhood appearance on Romper Room and as a guest on the second and final season of The Nate Berkus Show in 2011. I was an expert on tiny houses steering folks away from twee country clapboard on a trailer jack and toward such novel design innovations as ample light and airflow. Back then, with the economy still languishing from the effects of the subprime mortgage crisis, tiny houses were trending as folks downsized to save themselves from their underwater McMansion hells. Now, everything is so overvalued that when Home Depot slides out renderings of a 620-square-foot prefab priced at $43,832, all the socials light up. Though Twitter, which broke the story, is nearly as passé as daytime TV. An ADU-ready cabin seemingly inspired by Simon Ungers and Thomas Kinslow’s Corten T-House! (Inverted, natch.)
