Cindy Crawford, Pam Shamshiri, and numerous other devotees of artist Tyler Hays meandered through the endless pale white and dove gray fantasy dream at the center of BDDW’s new showroom. But the real action was back by the bar, where, in our idea of a perfect peep show, mugs adorned with phalluses “danced” to lustful sounds. Hays, who opened his exclusive design gallery in New York two decades ago, launched the LA satellite over the fall. Evidently, he’s still getting used to the place. “My cousin/best friend Jaci lives here, and she has a pool, and I can pick limes in her front yard,” he said. “That still blows my mind.”
